Who Are We? 

FOSCS is an enthusiastic group of parents, teachers, carers and friends that arrange events throughout the school year to raise money to benefit the children of the school. We try to plan a variety of events that are fun, give a memorable experience to the children during their school years and also bring our community together in a more informal setting. 

You may have heard of a 'PTA' (Parent Teacher Association) before. We are a group with a very similar role - we just have a different legal form! 

What We Do & When Do We Do It? 

During the school year a number of events such as cake sales, the Christmas light up event, our summer picnic & a school disco are run by the committee. Look out for our communications for further information (via the FOSCS noticeboard - on the left, in front of the entrance gate, the school's Facebook page, Dojo, WhatsApp & the school newsletter). If we haven't already met, we look forward to seeing you at an event soon!

Second Hand School Uniform

We ask parents to pop any unused uniform (green uniform and fleeces only, please) into the uniform shed (this is located just before the exit gate of the school) on an as and when basis. The team then wash and keep track of the uniform, selling each item on at £1 an item. 

If you would like to see whether we have any specific uniform in stock between events, please email uniform.foscs@gmail.com and you will hear from the uniform team shortly. 

Volunteering

Our army of volunteers really are the backbone of the events that are run but we're always looking to add to our team! 

We meet roughly once every half term and have a WhatsApp group to keep in touch between the events and meetings. All parents are welcome to the meetings or to join the WhatsApp group. The meeting dates will be communicated via the FOSCS noticeboard, the school's Facebook page, Dojo, WhatsApp and/or the school newsletter. 

If you would like to join the committee or if you might like to but you are a little unsure about what that could look like then we encourage you to get in touch. Commitment can be as much or as little as you can manage around your own lives. We just ask that you make it clear upfront what this is likely to look like. We often need supporter at events (once a half term for a few hours) as much as we require individuals who support the planning of such events on a more frequent basis.
