Ready to Learn Routines

These routines help children develop independence, organisation, and a positive mindset for learning. 

 

We embed Ready to Learn routines throughout the day—not just at the start—to help every child stay prepared, engaged, and confident. These routines provide structure and predictability, supporting social and emotional wellbeing, communication skills, and positive behaviour. From transitions and lining up to playtimes, lunchtimes, and classroom expectations, these routines ensure children feel secure and ready to learn in every part of school life.

Living Our Values Every Day

Our values are not just for school—they guide behaviour in every part of life.

• In classrooms, children show they are Ready by engaging fully and embracing challenges.
• Around school, being Respectful means listening, caring for our environment, and celebrating diversity.
• Through teamwork and leadership opportunities, pupils learn to be Responsible, making choices that benefit themselves and others.

We expect our children to live these values both in school and beyond, shaping them into thoughtful, responsible citizens.

Our Christian Foundation

As a Church of England school, our Christian values underpin all that we do. We nurture spiritual growth alongside academic and personal development, encouraging children to reflect, care, and act with integrity.
